What does semi-theologian mean?

I am and forever will be a student of theology, that is the study of God, who He is, and His relation to the world. Whether I am standing behind a pulpit or sitting in an uncomfortably small chair in a classroom, I’m not, nor will I ever be perfect; I will never possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding about the entirety of the Bible, or how the Church has chosen to put God’s word into practice throughout the past 2,000 years.  (If you meet such a person, let me know.  I’d love to read their book.)  Hence the “semi” in the title.  However, speaking from my own experience and study, I’m simply offering my own perspectives on theology and the Church, and how we communicate the Gospel and relate to the world.   I think these are conversations worth having, and if you do too, you might like it here.

I do hope and pray that while you are spending your time here reading my thoughts and pondering whatever questions I may pose, you may walk away with a greater understanding of who God is, what makes Jesus so special, and how we can best show the love of God in practical ways. So don’t feel as if the name is commentary on the content.  Also, this is a two-way street; I would love to start some dialogue on this page, so feel free to comment and share your thoughts.
